Episode 11 of KidzDocTalk discusses ADHD ( Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). ADHD is a dysregulation of hormones in the brain that affects a child’s self-esteem, focus and behavior. Dr. Giselle Habet MD FAAP is an International Medical Graduate of the University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago. She obtained her Pediatric training at Jackson Memorial Medical Center, Holtz Children’s Hospital in Affiliation with The University of Miami Leonard Miller School of Medicine in Miami Florida. 

She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and sits on the General Pediatrics Examination Committee for the ABP. 

Dr. Habet has been a part of the Pediatric Associates family since August of 2016. She is currently the Lead Pediatrician of the brand-new Bartram office and is excited to be an integral part of the medical community and  growing Saint John’s County Community at large.

Dr. Habet has lived in Saint Johns for the last five years with her husband and two beautiful children in Saint Augustine where she spends most of her free time enjoying her family. They love the outdoors and spend time at the beach, hiking, biking, and lots of time on the soccer field and other kid sports activities. 

Dr. Habet genuinely believes in the American Academy of Pediatrics statement that “the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents should be accessible, continuous, comprehensive, family centered, coordinated, compassionate, and culturally effective”. She is passionate about providing the best care and medical home her patients and their families deserve.
